Zurich/Palma 01.10.07 –
An adventurous promotional flight around the world in a single engine Pilatus PC-12 is about to take off with United Mobile. The tour, being undertaken by Morten Lund, a founding investor of global technology giant Skype, who recently became an investor in United Mobile, and CEO Sven Donhuysen, will see the team hand out free SIM cards. The promotional tour is designed to demonstrate just how United Mobile can offer one of the best and least expensive global mobile services. You are welcome to follow this adventure at www.smilingflyer.com
Morten Lund’s decision to join this special adventure was inspired by United Mobile’s global reach and coverage. “I am very excited about United Mobile. Using their services means receiving calls free of charge in many countries and doing calls at very low costs from almost everywhere in the world. This includes even small and remote destinations like Salamumu, a little place on Samoa. This makes United Mobile indispensable for a global journey like this and for travellers anyhow.”
Sven Donhuysen, a crew member and CEO of United Mobile, will provide and hand out free of charge SIM cards in destinations including Australia, Samoa, Argentina, Brazil, Morocco and Spain. The crew, two entrepreneurs teamed up by some creative professionals, will take off on 3 November 2007 on Majorca (Spain).
Asked if he was afraid to fly around the globe in a small plane (Pilatus PC-12), Sven Donhuysen answered: “I really have nothing to worry about. Morten Lund will be around. He is the impersonation of good luck.”
The trip is supposed to boost team spirit and generate fresh ideas among the participants. Morten Lund: “A trip like this greatly inspires me. I have worked hard during the past months and I want to seize this Around-the-World-Trip to refuel my creativity. It’s an added benefit that I will be travelling as ambassador for United Mobile.”
